Biography

Elaine Ford is a Full Member of Equity and the Spotlight JISC Register of Stunt/Action Co-ordinators and Performers. She also presents Stunt Lectures and Stunt Workshops to Schools and Organisations throughout the U.K.  More recently, she has worked closely with Emma Thompson and coached other well known celebrities' children alongside a drama coach at a school in London.

Elaine Ford began her Television and Film Career as both Actor and Singer, before focussing on Stuntwork and joining the Equity Stunt Register in 1983 as a probationary member.  After achieving full membership, Elaine then went on to become one of the first U.K female Stunt Co-ordinators, in which she has excelled over the past 25 years. She continues to be highly successful and in demand.

Her work has encompassed over 800 film and television productions as a Stunt Performer and in excess of 600 as a Stunt Co-ordinator and 2nd Unit/Action Director. She has attended an HSE Advanced Production Safety Course in Television and has, to date, a 100% safety record.

Elaine Ford has also worked as a Television Presenter for WMTV “Scene on 7” and as a Co-Presenter, Reporter and Researcher for Thames Radio 107.8 FM.  This, coupled with her acting experience, has enabled Elaine to develop skills that have enhanced her all round understanding of production in her “action” work.  Her creativity has also enabled her to achieve a Masters Degree in Fine Art.

She has first class interpersonal skills and attention to detail, earning the trust of actors and directors, thus achieving excellent results in performance.  She has a great professional and personal experience of working with children, instilling confidence and reassurance, which in turn has produced outstanding results.  Elaine has worked closely with Emma Thompson, and other well known celebrities children, presenting stunt workshops in conjunction with drama classes at private Schools in London and Hampshire.
